Gardner Junction, located at the corner of Sunset Boulevard and Gardner Avenue, was a part of Pacific Electric's Hollywood line that provided transit service from Hollywood to Beverly Hills.   Drawing inspiration from this transit past and Hollywood's agricultural history, the design reflects the patterns of railways and orchards for ideas of directional elements as cues for the landscape and hardscape areas within this corridor.

Currently, this parcel of land is a City owned and operated parking lot, behind the Sunset Boulevard retail shops.  It is an asphalt yard, neglected and under utilized.  The site is also surrounded by high density housing with no public park to call their own.
