Located in the heart of Hainan Island is Ding’an County famously known for the healing properties of their cold springs and agricultural fields of rice.  The Master Plan and Concept for this site was to embrace the healing properties of nature and create an eco-resort that incorporated the 5 Chinese elements of Earth, Sky, Water, Wood and Fire.  Each element was assigned to a hotel resort which ultimately was connected by a circular wetland deck promoting access without the use of a vehicle and representing the balance of man and nature.
